Namaste

“15 million Americans include some form of Yoga in their fitness regimen–twice as many as did 5 years ago.” – Time Magazine.  Awwwwwesome!!

Physical postures aren’t the only form of yoga though. They are just the tip of the iceberg! If you’re showing compassion, breathing mindfully, living without hate and judgment and practicing nonattachment….you are also doing yoga!!

All these things bring us closer to union with the divine higher consciousness (whatever that means to you). Some of the reasons we do the postures may be to increase flexibility, strength, patience with ourselves and each other, to improve our meditation and to lessen our mind chatter. There are a number of different yoga modalities. It doesn’t matter what technique you choose, they all lead to the same place.
