Intimacy with Nature arouses spiritual sensuality.
While doing dieta with local plants in the Amazon rainforest, I felt them spread themselves through every channel of my receptive body. I saw them in dreams, drank their essence, surrendered into their supportive embrace and meditated on their wealth of remedies. They activated my Shakti spirit in a nurturing yet arousing way. They healed my heart, mind and even deep, old ancestral pains. Nature is my favorite “doctor.”
When we ingest a plant and meditate, we can commune with its spirit. They have a magical way of communicating when we listen. When the Shipibo maestro was asked how they learn which plants to use and how, he responded by saying that his ancestors would take leaves of a plant and place them on their eyes. The plants would communicate in dreams. This technique is still used today.
Medicinal plants possess a unique magic that has captivated humanity for centuries, offering a natural means of healing and wellness. That wellness is far beyond the physical. Plants have an intelligent essence that can heal, protect, guide, alter perception, unlock wisdom and awaken us to connect deeply.
Plants often work synergistically within the body, promoting balance and enhancing overall well-being.
Ayahuasca invited plant spirits to build a garden in my brain over pathways damaged by trauma. Icaros were the seeds in fertile neural soil. I’ll never forget this medicine. What would you grow in the garden of your brain?
Using medicinal plants arouses a deeper connection to nature. Engaging with plants—whether through cultivation, preparation, or consumption—encourages mindfulness and appreciation for the natural world. This connection can enhance mental well-being and promote a sense of peace.
I have always had a strong bond with Nature, but lately I’ve realized just how powerful plant spirits truly are.
My grandma used to walk into the woods north of Sedona and return with what I called, “magic fruit.” This ambrosial fruit was like a plum but even sweeter and more delicious. My sister and I searched for the mystery tree but never found it. I believed it revealed itself because my grandma honored her long-loving bond with nature and her earth home. Our Mama is so generous but also fiercely destructive. She is a mirror of the divine feminine; nurturing, transformative, mysterious and sweet AND wild, uncompromising and ferocious. But always deserving of respect and conscious care. Through Her portal of primal elements, we can embody our own expression, intimate blossoming, cyclical changes, limitless potential and interconnectedness. I miss my grandma and that magical fruit.
Rhythms of the natural world (flowing water, the moon, flowers, snakes, vines…), are powerful mediums for intuitive (even telepathic) abilities. When we stimulate senses, deep instinctual wisdom arises and we remember that we are the medicine. There is no separation between the natural world and ourselves so our inner gurus come to be known. All is interconnected!
I felt so safe in the wild embrace of the Amazon. Envelope my body, mind and soul in your vines and let’s plant flowers of universal bliss. Thank you for generously sharing your medicine so we can remember how to love. Let us drink from the bosom of your instinctual essence to help purge our pain so we can care for you better. Whisper your ancient wisdom as you heal with your abundant, biodiverse gifts. You remind us that Nature is a sentient teacher. Revealing our interconnectedness. Softening our egos, opening our hearts and expanding global consciousness with awareness, intention, elevated perspectives and jungle love! You are my sister, my mother, my teacher and my beloved ally. Please forgive us for the unimaginable harm we’ve caused. I feel you in my womb, my heart, my lungs and in every breath. La Selva, I will never forget our time together. Grateful always. I love you forever. Haux.
Pachamama arouses us to alter reality (for the greater good of course) and summon harmony, alignment and sweetness into creation.
